Quilt donation to Claddagh Senior Living

The Quilt and Kit mission group from Immanuel Lutheran is shown presenting 16 lap quilts to Carmel Ledebuhr, owner of the Claddagh Senior Living, for the use of the residents. She gratefully accepted them. Next project is probably to make bibs for the residents.

Even with Covid-19 it has been a busy year for the group at Immanuel. When we couldn’t meet in church, we stayed home and made several hundred face masks for the community and friends. Our year runs from October to September  and we still were able to make the following for Lutheran World Relief. 114 quilts, 86 personal care kits, 108 school kits and 101 baby care kits. These are shipped overseas wherever there is a need because of floods, earthquakes, and other emergencies.

In addition, we did not forget about local needs as we gave 145 assorted baby items of clothing to Bundles of Love in Winona, 12 backpacks to SEMCAC and many assorted school supplies also to SEMCAC. Also, one quilt to Care and Share. We also honor our senior graduates with a quilt to take with them as a remembrance of their church.
