Mainspring announces REVERIE, a cozy benefit concert on Saturday, November 9th featuring the mesmerizing vocals of The Nunnery, with a special dance performance from Little Works.

REVERIE will be a special evening celebrating new nonprofit Mainspring. The event will feature the captivating vocals of Twin Cities-based musician The Nunnery, as well as a special dance performance by Little Works. This evening will also kick off the Founders Circle Fundraising Campaign for Mainspring, and will include a ceremonial toast to the new nonprofit.

The Nunnery

The Nunnery is a solo act of Sarah Elstran. She creating melding meditative, lush soundscapes with layered vocal loops and catchy hooks. More of an experience than just a sound, The Nunnery’s somewhat-improvised performances are informed by the spaces in which they occur, and her live shows often incorporate other forms of art such as live visual projections.ListentoTheNunneryh​ ere​.“Myhopeisthatthesesongsandperformances give you a sense of peace, a space to understand your own heart.”

Little Works

Little Works is a dance collective consisting of Maria Tordoff, Marissa Jax, Emma Call and Amelia Morris. Each member holds a BFA in dance and choreography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a collective we find great joy in collaborating with other artists and have built an ever-accumulating community in the Twin Cities. We value and treat all movement occurrences as an opportunity to heal on an interpersonal and societal level.

Mainspring is a creative community organization bringing new life to the old Presbyterian church building in downtown Caledonia, Minnesota. It is a community space offering performances, events, and classes for all ages in Houston County.

Started by Caledonia-native Melissa Wray and an energetic board of directors, the Mainspring team is excited to create a whimsical space filled with surprising fun, and meaningful programming that will spur community connections, spark new ideas, and enhance Houston County’s economic vitality.
