Carson Coffield joins city as assistant city administrator

Carson Coffield began his duties on a full time basis in late May.

Carson Coffield was recently hired by the City of Caledonia as the Assistant to City/Clerk Administrator. 

Coffield, a 2015 graduate of Caledonia High School has been doing the work on a part-time basis since April 2nd as he was finishing up at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Coffield began working at a full-time capacity on May 28th after he received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Public Administration.

Coffield said he has a deep passion for local government and public service and wants to use that interest to give back to the community.

He will be assisting City Clerk/Administrator Adam Swann on a variety of matters, such as economic development initiatives, preparing documents for the City Council and EDA meetings, and updating the City’s new website.

“Adam Swann (City Clerk/Administrator) has been great. Jessica Kohen, Stephanie Mann, Dorothy Ranzenberger, Casey Klug, they’ve all been really helpful,” Coffield said. “It’s exciting to be part of a staff that cares deeply about the community we share.”
