Theft charges dropped in plea deal

Theft charges against a 24-year-old Minneapolis man were dismissed in a plea deal.

Darcel Devon Seamon was charged with stealing $1,750 in goods from a Blaine Fleet Farm, but the case was dropped after Seamon pleaded guilty in two separate cases of theft from stores in Fridley and Columbia Heights.

Seamon was sentenced Sept. 24 to one year and one day in the St. Cloud prison stayed for five years, 114 days in the Anoka County jail credit for time served, five years of supervised probation and $1,198 in restitution for one count of theft. If he successfully completes probation, he won’t serve the prison time.

On another theft charge Seamon was sentenced Oct. 22 to one year and one day in the St. Cloud prison, 116 days in the Anoka County Jail credit for time served, five years of supervised probation and $2,830 in restitution.

Between the two convictions Seamon was charged with stealing $5,718 from a Menards and a Home Depot in Fridley, according to the criminal complaints.

Rental equipment reported stolen

A 31-year-old Minneapolis man is charged with stealing a piece of rental equipment.

Cristhian Adrian Jaimes-Ramos faces one felony count of theft of leased or rented property valued between $1,000 and $5,000.

The manager of Columbia Heights Rental on Central Avenue Northeast told Columbia Heights police a man identified as Jaimes-Ramos rented a J-Brake Siding Bender on Nov. 18, 2017, according to the criminal complaint.

By Dec. 11, 2017, the rental company sent a certified demand letter for return of the property, but no response has been received, according to the complaint.

Estranged boyfriend charged with breaking into woman’s home

A 40-year-old East Bethel man is charged with breaking into an estranged girlfriend’s home.

William Joseph Thoreson faces one felony count of first-degree burglary and one felony count of violating a no contact order.

On Oct. 22 Blaine police responded to a 911 call from a residence on Seventh Street Northeast in Blaine, according to the criminal complaint.

There the victim told police Thoreson had broken in and surprised her in the bedroom, the charges say.

Thoreson allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim and himself before fleeing the premises.

Officers observed the door to the residence had been recently damaged.

When Thoreson was arrested, he was carrying a gun, loaded magazine and a box of .380 ammunition, according to the complaint.

Argument escalates to threats with a razor

A 23-year-old Blaine man is charged with attacking a woman after an argument.

Shea Armando Lang-Gillette faces one felony count of second-degree assault, one felony count of threats of violence and one felony count of domestic assault by strangulation.

On Oct. 23 Blaine police responded to a residence on Van Buren Street Northeast on an assault in progress report, according to the criminal complaint.

Upon arrival the victim told police Lang-Gillette and her had been arguing about infidelity when he allegedly repeatedly strangled her.

The victim reportedly fled to a bathroom where Lang-Gillette allegedly broke in attacked her and threatened the victim with a razor blade.

Allegedly high man charged with car theft

A 34-year-old Columbia Heights man is charged with stealing a car he was found sleeping in.

Christopher David Perkins faces one felony count of receiving stolen property and one felony count of fifth-degree controlled substance crime.

On Oct. 24 an officer spotted Perkins sleeping in a car near the intersection of Front Avenue and Pleasant Street, according to the criminal complaint.

The vehicle’s license plate allegedly came back as stolen out of Owatonna, and the car itself was reported stolen out of Anoka.

After being arrested, Perkins allegedly claimed he had swallowed a large amount of cocaine and heroin. He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment before booking.

Inside the vehicle the officer allegedly found drug-related paraphernalia and a bag containing five pills identified as Suboxone.

Kilogram of cocaine seized in Spring Lake Park

A 25-year-old Spring Lake Park man is charged with dealing cocaine.

Everardo Manzanarez Hernandez faces one felony count of first-degree controlled substance crime.

On Oct. 25 members of the Minneapolis Weapons Unit and the Spring Lake Park Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 8100 block of Cleveland Street Northeast, according to the criminal complaint.

Inside they allegedly found Hernandez, the target of the search, leaving the bathroom.

Officers also reportedly located a brick of what field-tested positive as 1,005 grams of cocaine. Twelve smaller bags containing what field-tested positive as cocaine appeared to be packaged for sale, and $1,800 in cash was found, according to the complaint.

Rifle stolen in burglary

A 22-year-old Fridley man is charged with an Anoka burglary.

Dalton James Hendrix faces one felony count of second-degree burglary and one felony count of fifth-degree controlled substance crime.

On Oct. 25 the Anoka police responded to a burglary report from a residence on Ninth Avenue in Anoka, according to the criminal complaint.

The homeowner told police he had found the front door left open and his bedroom door kicked in, according to the complaint.

He told officers two Galaxy cellphones and a lever action rifle were stolen.

Surveillance footage from the home security system allegedly showed a man, later identified as Hendrix, entering and exiting the home.

Hendrix was reportedly found walking near Ninth Avenue and East Main Street.

Upon arrest Hendrix allegedly had a pipe and 1.8 grams of what field-tested positive as methamphetamine.

Theft reported from Fridley auto shop

A 27-year-old Coon Rapids man is charged with stealing from multiple cars in Fridley.

John Robert Johnson faces one felony count of theft of a motor vehicle and one felony count of theft valued between $1,000 and $5,000.

On Sept. 14 Fridley police responded to a report of thefts from vehicles at Ron’s Auto in the 7600 block of Main Street Northeast, according to the criminal complaint.

The owner told police multiple cars being serviced had been tampered with and some were damaged.

Video surveillance footage allegedly showed Johnson entering approximately 10 vehicles and stealing a set of speakers and an amp valued at $2,000 before stealing a vehicle.
