The TCF Bank inside the Cub Foods store at 2050 Northdale Blvd., Coon Rapids, was robbed the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 17.

An undetermined amount of cash was stolen by a lone male, who implied to the teller that he had a gun, but did not show one, according to Capt. Jon Urquhart of the Coon Rapids Police.

The suspect’s description, confirmed by video surveillance, was a black male, tall, stocky, bearded and walking with a limp, wearing large dark sunglasses; dark-colored jeans; a light-colored, button-up, long-sleeve shirt; and a leather Chicago Bulls black hat with a red brim, the police report states.

Multiple officers were involved in a search effort that involved setting up a perimeter, an attempted K-9 track, drone surveillance and assistance from a State Patrol helicopter, but the suspect was not found.

The robber remains at large, Urquhart said Tuesday morning, Aug. 20.
