The driver of a vehicle that crashed in Nowthen Tuesday, Sept. 10, was pronounced dead at the scene according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

Around 7:15 p.m. the Sheriff's Office, St. Francis Police Department, Ramsey Fire Department and Allina Ambulance responded to a report of a personal injury motor vehicle crash on Old Viking Boulevard at West Fordbrook Drive Northwest.

When deputies and officers arrived on scene, they found the driver of the vehicle severely injured. Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle.

Authorities say initial information shows the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Old Viking Boulevard when it left the roadway and overturned. The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
