On May 24, PACT Charter School in Ramsey celebrated the graduation of 53 students.

The ceremony was a celebration of the graduates’ accomplishments and the many memories they shared as students at PACT.

Twelve members of the class also graduated with an Associate of Arts degree, and 32% of the class graduated with honors. Ninety-two percent of PACT graduates are planning to attend college at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, St. Cloud State University, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities or University of Northwestern in St. Paul.

The Valedictorian was Laura Siegel, and the Salutatorian was Ben Swenson. Both students talked about the memories their class made together and provided their classmates advice for the future.

Student Council and National Honor Society President Noah Berglund gave a speech recounting the accomplishments of the class, and Senior Kendra DeRosa gave a speech on the importance of having the character trait of humility. Class advisor Bryan Olson gave a speech about overcoming challenges in life. After the speeches, the concert choir sang “Lean on Me.”

After the ceremony, the graduates celebrated along with their friends and families at a reception of cake, punch and coffee provided by the junior class.
