To the editor:
Recent events involving Anoka County Commissioner Matt Look should concern not only his constituents but other residents of Anoka County.
What started this controversy were Commissioner Look’s Facebook postings that were made contemporaneously with the Jan. 6 insurrection. They are difficult to interpret other than his support for the siege. Despite his denial, the more disturbing issue is the allegations of harassment by one of his constituents who confronted him. What rises to the level of shocking was his conduct after the constituent attempted to contact “his boss” at the county to complain. Following he is alleged to have contacted her and misrepresented that he was the commissioner’s “ boss.”
If Commissioner Look is unable to figure out what is right or wrong, then the County Board must develop a code of conduct that will instruct him of what is improper.
