Flags will be raised above the Main Street bridge over Highway 10 in Coon Rapids to mark the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

This is the 13th time first responders and veterans will hoist the colors from sunrise to sunset over the bridge.

Area fire departments will hang the flag from aerial ladder trucks.

The Minnesota Red Cross Bloodmobile will again be at the Lowe’s parking lot near the Highway 10 bridge for blood donations.

To set up an appointment to give blood, call event organizer Daniel Hanson at 763-427-4667 or 612-250-4925.
