Entering on a 10 game winning streak, Blaine earned the No. 2 seed in the Class AAAA State Tournament.

The Bengals (21-3) will take on New Prague (16-8) in the quarterfinals Friday, June 14 at 3 p.m. at CHS Field in St. Paul.

The winner advances to the semifinals Saturday, June 15 at CHS Field at 2:30 p.m., taking on the winner between No. 3 seed Hopkins (18-6) and Rogers (11-13).

The loser between Blaine and New Prague drops into the consolation semifinals against the loser between Hopkins and Rogers at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul June 15 at 12:30 p.m.

The consolation championship is at Northwestern June 15 at 3 p.m. and the third place game is June 15 at 5 p.m. at CHS Field. The Class AAAA state championship is Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. at Target Field in Minneapolis.

On the top half of the bracket, it is No. 1 seed Stillwater (22-2) versus Eden Prairie (17-7) and No. 4 seed Mounds View (18-6) versus No. 5 seed East Ridge (18-6).

Blaine placed fourth at state a year ago.
