Ramsey’s Ward 3 has elected the newest member of the City Council.

Dan Specht won Ward 3 by roughly 20 percentage points, earning 60.5% (266 votes) of the vote to Josh Fuhreck’s 39.6% (174 votes) with both precincts reporting.

Specht earned 60.2% (160 votes) of votes cast in Precinct 1 and 80% (139 votes) of votes cast in Precinct 2.

Fuhreck garnered 40% (106 votes) of votes cast in Precinct 1 and 20% (35 votes) cast in Precinct 2.

A total of 440 voters (10.7%) out of 4,129 voters registered in Precinct 2 by 7 a.m. Election Day cast a ballot in the Nov. 5 special election to fill the Ward 3 seat. Melody Shryock vacated the seat when she retired May 1.
