Friday, Sept. 6

After a down-to-the-wire opener in which it just missed on a last-second score in a 28-27 loss against Bemidji, Andover takes the road for the first time this season at Rogers, which lost its opener 37-24 against Moorhead.

Centennial at Anoka

Friday, Sept. 6

Anoka takes the field for its home opener against Centennial as both teams look to rebound from week one defeats. Anoka fell 46-6 at White Bear Lake, while Centennial lost 28-20 at Edina.

Forest Lake at Coon Rapids

Friday, Sept. 6

Coon Rapids is in action in its home opener versus Forest Lake in a battle between teams in search of their first wins. The Cardinals fell 34-0 against last year’s Class 5A state runner-up St. Thomas Academy in week one, while Forest Lake dropped a 24-15 game against Tartan.

Chisago Lakes at St. Francis

Friday, Sept. 6

St. Francis looks to bounce back from a close 31-24 season-opening loss at St. Cloud Apollo as it hosts Chisago Lakes in its home opener. Chisago Lakes is coming off of a 38-8 win over Sartell-St. Stephen.

Coon Rapids tournament

Saturday, Sept. 7

Coon Rapids hosts Alexandria, Armstrong, Cambridge-Isanti, Chisago Lakes, Kaleidoscope Charter, Pine River-Backus and Richfield in tournament play.

Soccer

PACT at Legacy Christian/Maranatha at Legacy

Tuesday, Sept. 10

It’s a soccer doubleheader at Legacy Christian, beginning with the Lion boys hosting PACT Charter, then capped off by the Lion girls taking on Maranatha.

Cross-country

Anoka Steve Hoag Invitational

Wednesday, Sept. 11

Anoka hosts several of the top teams from across the metro area, including last year’s Class AA girls state champion St. Michael-Albertville. Spring Lake Park and Totino-Grace will also be in action from the area.

St. Francis home meet

Thursday, Sept. 12

St. Francis is scheduled to host over a dozen teams, with Blaine and Fridley among those competing.

Thursday, Sept. 12

Top Northwest Suburban and state contenders square off in a dual as Anoka takes on Blaine.

Anoka at Andover

Thursday, Sept. 12

The passionate A-Town rivalry is renewed as Andover hosts Anoka. Anoka rallied for a five-set win in the regular season a year ago, before Andover came back for a playoff win on its way to making the Section 7AAA finals.

Thursday, Sept. 12

A midseason Northwest Suburban matchup features Andover hosting Spring Lake Park.
