Sen. Franken accepting service academy applications

NEWS RELEASE

Washington, D..C. – Sen. Al Franken announced today (Wednesday, Oct. 14) that he is now accepting applications from Minnesotans to the nation’s service academies including: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.  

“Serving our country is an honorable and important job,” said Sen. Franken. “I am happy to help any eligible Minnesotan with the nomination process to one of our service academies.”

To be considered for an appointment to a service academy, an applicant must meet the eligibility requirements established by law.  Please visit Sen. Franken’s website (www.franken.senate.gov) to view specific requirements.
