The groundbreaking for the new Hwy. 95 bridge over I-35 in North Branch was held today under cloudy skies. But the sun was shining in the hearts of those gathered, as the long-awaited project was finally about to begin. Following the gold-shovel moment on the northwest corner of the freeway intersection at 9 a.m., the group moved to the fire hall where the celebration continued with speeches from many including Congressman Jim Oberstar.
