Kaleidoscope Charter School breaks ground in Otsego

charterschool.jpgKaleidoscope Charter School broke ground on a new $8.6 million school that is scheduled to open in August 2008.

The school is relocating from Rogers where it has utilized temporary modular facilities since its inception in 2004, and is moving to Otsego to build a permanent campus so it can expand enrollment and increase what it offers its students. See more in Star News.

Shown is a three-dimensional image of what the new Kaleidoscope Charter School will look like. Ground was recently broken at the Otsego location and it is scheduled to open in August 2008.

 

City, town share costs to combine 2 Wyomings

The costs for the annexation are being evenly split between the city of Wyoming and Wyoming Township.

Milaca administration answers tough questions on failed school referendum

Answers still sought in Roger Vaillancourt death over 50 years ago

It's been two years since the body of Roger Vaillancourt was exhumed from St. John's Cemetery in Foley for an autopsy.

Vaillancourt's family requested the exhumation after Father Charlie Kunkel began researching the 1957 death in order to write a book. The priest concluded the 17-year-old was murdered by a group of teens.

Dispute sits between labor union, Cambridge School Dist. 911

New contracts proposed for four labor groups in School District 911 have not been accepted as representatives from both sides have hit an impasse. This is before wages were even discussed as work week control and overtime allotment centered into the argument.

Stacy man gets life for meth dealing

United States District Court Judge Donovan W. Frank today in Minneapolis sentenced a 52-year-old Stacy man who had been dealing methamphetamine out of his home for nearly 10 years to life in prison.
