When Carrie Modrynski was laid off by Genmar last June, at least her husband, Steve, retained his position.

But come Wednesday, when Genmar ceases to exist as a company, Steve's employment status becomes a virtual unknown. The company which recently purchased Genmar's manufacturing facilities in Little Falls at a bankruptcy court auction - Platinum Equity - has yet to announce its plans for the boating industry.
