There were so many several spectacular plays and dramatic plot twists in the Rogers vs. St. Michael-Albertville championship game Friday night that an overtime conclusion, had it happened, may have been bland by comparison.
Instead, there was no OT after all, as one more stunning play materialized with 15 seconds left in regulation and the Royals had an electrifying 28-21 victory at St. Cloud's Husky Stadium and a trip to the state tournament. See more in Sports Editor Bruce Strand's Star News story.
