Princeton senior Kendra Catalano wins music award

kendraPrinceton High School senior Kendra Catalano has received honorable mentions for two of her seven submissions in a Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) composition contest this past June. She entered compositions in the solo, large ensemble and chamber divisions.

It was her tuba solo titled “Storm” and her large ensemble piece, “Season Rhapsody,” that each received an honorable mention. See more in Joel Stottrup's Princeton Union-Eagle story.

The MMEA contest was statewide and was open to students at the high school and college levels. Catalano entered in the high school level. She wrote “Storm” when she was a junior and “Season Rhapsody” when she was 15.
