Residents urged to call in their ideas on redesigning state government

The House has opened a “Redesign Comment Line” for citizens to call in their ideas on how state government can become more efficient, get more for its money.
One of the lawmakers driving the initiative is Rep. Paul Marquart, DFL-Dilworth, who chairs the Property and Local Sales Tax Committee. Marquart has called for public comment before, and one idea submitted by a resident eventually was put into law.
