Rep. Paul Kohls jumps into gubernatorial race

Rep. Paul Kohls, R-Victoria, launched his campaign for governor today (June 18) by completing the paperwork and strolling through the Capitol press room.
“The process is well underway,” he said of building a statewide campaign.
Kohls believes his legislative record of fiscal restraint and limited government will appeal to Republican Party delegates.
He has been encouraged by his contacts across the state with Republican leaders, Kohls said.
Kohls, an attorney, and his wife Kelly have been married for ten years and live in Victoria.
Now in his fourth term in the House, Kohls is lead Republican on the House Public Safety Finance Committee.
