Worth a thousand adjectives
The Chaiten Volcano in Chile erupted last month, after sleeping for 9,000 years. Being that cameras in 7,000 B.C. were of limited quality, the images from Chaiten’s latest volley are far superior. Much credit to the Boston Globe and its Big Picture feature. As others note, this sort of dedication to pure photography by a Web site is outstanding in its simplicity, small monitors be damned.
